Barbara Burnette (center) accepts a Viewers' Choice Award as presenter then, Houston City Controller, and present Commissioner Sylvia Garcia (background) and fellow producers, Ismael and Mrs. Reyes (left) look on, for TV show, "The Barbara Burnette Show" which won the award after only six weeks of airing. It was nominated also for Comedy and Inspiration. The show was a spin-off from her co-hosting and hosting popular TV show "Sweetman's Corner" after appearing on two episodes. Barbara's presence doubled the show's viewers.
